For My many Detractors...

"There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion."

-Sir Francis Bacon

Art is all about perception. I don't expect everyone to like what I draw.  It's all up to them, not me. I'm happy with what I draw, if you don't like it, fine. You're not going to stop me from loving my craft.

Because I draw what I draw People assume a lot of negative things about me.

So Be it.

"My art makes me happy."

I didn't think that many people were being haters. You draw well. If think your haters are actually jealous.

If your art makes you happy, then by all means continue.

Remember the old joke about opinions and a-holes. Seems to apply to the detractors.

Or as the saying goes, "Haters are going to hate". Don't give in.

Seen a lot of art on DA that makes me cringe. Personally, I think your "detractors" as you kindly name them, need to go somewhere else. Your artwork is unusual and strange, however, it has an air of interesting appeal. Do what makes you happy. I thoroughly enjoy watching your streams, seeing you start with a blank nothing, and end with a worthy piece of artwork.

Your detractors hardly seem worthy of comment. Pay attention to your fans (and the silent group that at least accept what you do) and all will be well.

Seriously, you have detractors?

Some people really DO just want to complain about anything.

Art is Art; it's supposed to turn a few heads and raise a few eyebrows. It never fails to appall me how quickly some people will call for censorship. (Or how loudly)

I can understand how certain exaggerated features you use in your pieces can be a bit off-putting to some. I myself can get a little creeped out sometimes by your use of such gigantic, cushiony, unrealistic, imposing, and voluptuously swollen lips and hair. But even when I'm the most weirded out, I still have a great deal of respect for the skill and beauty you put into all your work.

It's YOUR art. You have the right (Hell, the responsibility) to create whatever your imagination can throw at you.
The important thing is that you have the confidence to continue your work in the face of those who would detract from you.

I'm confident that as long as you have that strong a backbone, you will always be able to crate beauty.

So rock on.

Yeah, but it's annoying when the few comments you DO get are nothing but people hating you for what you draw.

It's eloquently worded and it's admirable you put it in such a non-confrontational manner (I've seen a few people react to "criticisms" in such a way I lost a bit of sympathy for them) but I guess the fact you needed to say this at all is worrisome. The irony of the situation becomes the porn artist actually seems more intelligent, open-minded and sociable than the critics supposedly standing up for "art".

Remember when art was for fun also? When you can just go balls to the walls crazy and just sketch out whatever want and go crazy with your style and improve at the same time?
Yeah...I miss those times to.

I've been watching your work for awhile. I have come to believe you are a very kind and truthful person. I may not know you personally, but I think I would like to have you as a friend any day.
